영화 <유령> 인물들의 개성, 역동적인 액션, 스토리 요소를 표현한 시퀀스입니다.

‘유령’이 사용하는 비밀 암호에서 영감을 받아 기하학 문양을 만들었습니다. 영화에 등장하는 다양한 상징물을 도형화하여 추상 형태로 디자인했습니다. 영화에서 중요한 개념인 대칭으로 문양들을 배치하고, 이름을 중심으로 해체와 조합을 반복하며 역동적으로 움직이게 했습니다. 영화 속 공간, 사물, 인물의 대표 컬러들을 추출하여 어둠을 배경으로 빛을 뿜도록 조합했습니다.

이와 같은 기하학 문양, 대칭을 이루는 장식성, 풍부한 색채 사용을 통해 1930년대 아르데코 스타일을 구현했습니다. 화려한 장식 미술 양식을 전체 톤으로 도입한 이유는 영화 속 암울한 시대에 더욱 강렬했던 욕망을 상징하기 위함입니다. 여기에 단순화 한 문양, 정교한 애니메이팅과 같은 현대적 감각을 더해 <유령>만의 시퀀스로 완성했습니다.

I wanted to make a sequence that allows audiences to feel the distinct individuality and dynamic action of the characters and the sophisticated story of the film.

Inspired by the secret codes that the characters use to achieve their goal, I envisioned hundreds of geometric patterns by shaping and designing the symbols and clues that appear in the film. These patterns are arranged and animated while maintaining symmetry, which is an important concept in the relationship between characters in the story. The color palette, consisting of colors that match the main space, objects, and the character‘s personalities in the film, emits light against the dark background. The 1930s Art Deco style, felt throughout the sequence through geometric patterns, symmetrical decorative properties, and rich colors, reflects a desire that was more intense in the dark times within the film.

This sequence, created by combining clues about characters and stories in a symbolic way, allows audiences to understand the meaning of the movie more emotionally.
